Understand the requirement
What is a Cosmetic Product Safety Report?
A CPSR documents the safety information and safety assessment for a cosmetic product. It forms part of the Product Information File required before placing a cosmetic product on the Great Britain or EU market.
Part A brings together the supporting safety information. Part B records the assessment and conclusion of a suitably qualified safety assessor. An IFRA certificate or Safety Data Sheet does not replace a CPSR.
- 1
Your exact formula
The assessment considers the finished product, its ingredients and concentrations.
- 2
Supporting evidence
Supplier information, packaging details and relevant test data inform the review.
- 3
Qualified assessment
The safety conclusion must be completed by a suitably qualified assessor.
